Âmago is a choreographic piece that takes as its starting point the documentary “O Tempo e o Modo”, directed by Graça Castanheira, about Eduardo Galeano. In this documentary, Eduardo Galeano launches the motto that there is another possible world, “it is inside the belly of this one and we have to help it to be born.” He also tells us about a The Body Party: “religion tells us the body is a fault, science tells us the body is a machine... this fracture between body and soul has caused We are in very bad shape... we are bodies and bodies... The Body says: I am a party”. These themes become choreographic material, allowing us, through exploration and interpretation based on physicality, to construct and think about other ways of living.
